Air France-KLM

De Baak, always new inspiring ideas even in established training programmes!”
Astrid Hanneman - Area HR Manager Asia Pacific

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines was founded on 7 October 1919 to serve the Netherlands and its colonies. KLM is today the oldest airline still operating under its original name. KLM has been part of the AIR FRANCE KLM group since the merger in 2004. With Air France, KLM is at the forefront of the European airline industry. Offering reliability and a healthy dose of Dutch pragmatism, 32,000 KLM employees work to provide innovative products for its customers and a safe, efficient, service-oriented operation with a proactive focus on sustainability.

In 2010, KLM Business Campus (KBC) and De Baak started working together on their international leadership program, Focus on your Future, for the most talented people at Air France-KLM. The participants came from all over the world to address corporate themes such as customer centricity, being decisive in complex times, markets and organizations. These programs were co-created and designed for Air France-KLM participants to explore and grow their leadership skills, develop problem-solving skills, find courage in difficult times and create commitment within their organizations. The modules for the programs were held in France and the Netherlands.

Astrid Hanneman, Area HR Manager, Asia Pacific

The Spice Trail is a combined talent program of Air France-KLM’s Asia Pacific region and Middle East, India and Gulf region. The ‘Africa's got talent’ program is a similar program for the Africa region. Each year, 12 talented individuals are chosen by the local management teams to take this one-year program. It includes 360-degree feedback, how to manage change successfully, project management, culture and communication training. De Baak performed the 360-degree feedback session. Personal reports help the participants to grow in their daily business and personal life.
